TechOlympics 2024 Job Station Report

2024/10/29

Yasin Saeedi, Officer at Innovation Cluster Development and Promotion Unit of Pardis Technology Park, announced the successful completion of the "Job Station" event on the sidelines of 2024 TechOlympics.

He stated, "One of the main challenges of scientific events is leveraging the potential of top participants. At the TechOlympics, this issue was addressed through the creation of a dedicated section called Work Station."

Over 1,000 participants were identified as finalists in the qualifying phase, out of which 380 expressed their willingness to collaborate with companies in Iran International Innovation District. According to Saeedi, professional profiles were created for these individuals and compiled into a booklet distributed among companies to facilitate their interaction with job seekers.

Innovation in Talent Acquisition

Job Station, held from October 22 to 28, utilized innovative methods to connect employers and job seekers. One of its standout programs was the "Talent Stage," where job seekers specializing in programming, robotics, mechanics, and electronics showcased their skills and abilities in three-minute presentations before employers. This initiative resulted in around 200 presentations and invitations for top-performing candidates to job interviews.

Additionally, in the "Duel" segment, 20 events were organized where job seekers and employers introduced themselves within a brief 30-second window. Successful matches led to job interview invitations.

Highlighting these innovations, Saeedi noted that over 100 job interviews were conducted during the event, with several companies reporting that they had hired new employees from among the participants in the past six days.

He added, "Finalists will collaborate with companies through project-based work, military service placements, or full-time employment. The recruitment process takes time, and final results will be announced in the coming weeks."
